Farm Fresh Bhd is expanding into Cambodia through a US$68 million dairy project in Pursat province that is set to become the country’s largest dairy farm and first large-scale fresh milk production and processing facility.
The Malaysian dairy group is collaborating with Cambodia’s Alpha Group and Sonavith Co Ltd on the Farm Fresh Pursat project, after a land lease agreement was signed with the Pursat Provincial Administration on Aug 5.
Located in Veal Veng district, the project will span about 1,000ha and include international-standard dairy farms and a local milk processing plant. It is aimed at strengthening Cambodia’s domestic dairy supply chain, reducing reliance on imports and supporting future export opportunities.
Farm Fresh Group Managing Director and Group CEO Loi Tuan Ee said the investment would also help position Pursat more prominently across Southeast Asia and globally.
The project follows an October 2025 memorandum of understanding between Farm Fresh and Alpha Group to establish Cambodia’s first large-scale fresh milk facility.
The investment also comes as Cambodia seeks to strengthen local milk production after supply disruptions exposed its heavy dependence on imported dairy products, particularly from Thailand.
