Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has warned the public not to be deceived by scammers using its name or logo to promote fake investment schemes promising quick and high returns.
BNM said such scams often exploit the central bank’s credibility to mislead investors into believing the schemes are legitimate.
The public is advised to verify the legitimacy of any entity or investment scheme by checking BNM’s Financial Consumer Alert List or the Investor Alert issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia before committing any funds.
