Cypark JV Inks PPA Deal For Large Solar Project In Port Dickson

Cypark Resources Bhd’s associate company, SunPark (Pasir Panjang) Sdn Bhd, signed a long-term power purchase agreement with Tenaga Nasional Bhd for the development of a 99.99-megawatt large-scale solar (LSS) photovoltaic plant in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

The group said under the LSS PETRA 5+ programme awarded by the Energy Commission. SunPark is a special-purpose consortium formed to undertake the project, with Cypark Renewable Energy Sdn Bhd — a wholly owned subsidiary of Cypark — holding a 49% equity interest, while Sunview Asset Management Sdn Bhd owns the remaining 51%.

Under the terms of the 21-year agreement, SunPark will design, construct, own, operate and maintain the solar PV facility, which has an approved capacity of 99.99 megawatts (MWac). The plant is scheduled to achieve commercial operations on Feb 29, 2028. Throughout the contract period, TNB will purchase the net energy output generated by the facility and delivered to the national grid.

Cypark noted that SunPark was incorporated on Sept 22, 2025, specifically to develop the LSS project following the consortium’s selection as a shortlisted bidder under the LSS PETRA 5+ tender announced earlier in September. The company is principally engaged in solar power generation and related services.
