Perak Approves 23 Ramadan Bazaar Spots In Ipoh

Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI) has approved the organisation of Ramadan bazaars at 23 locations in Ipoh, involving a total of 1,587 stalls for next year.

In a statement, MBI said the bazaars will be managed by six hawkers’ associations, three residents’ associations, two mosque and surau committees, one hawkers’ cooperative, and two private agencies.

MBI said approval letters and a briefing session for the organisers were held on Dec 22, chaired by City Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak and attended by MBI councillors.

The briefing involved representatives from the MBI Public Health and City Services Department, MBI Licensing Department, Perak Social Security Organisation (Perkeso), Green Energy Asia Biofuel Resources, MySafe Food, and Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd.

MBI encouraged traders interested in operating at the Ramadan bazaars to contact the listed organisers and apply early, as stall availability at each location is limited.
