Kuala Lumpur’s nightlife is set for a major upgrade, as reported by Malay Mail. MiMi Superhouse, Indonesia’s high-energy livehouse brand, is opening on Jalan P. Ramlee.
The two-storey venue will feature a futuristic main stage with live vocals, DJ sets, and space for over 500 partygoers. Upstairs, a more private area caters to groups looking for an exclusive night out.
The venue is backed by Indonesia’s HW Group, formerly HolyWings Group, which operates more than 69 outlets across 19 locations. The group is behind renowned spots such as Atlas Beach Club in Bali, The H Club in Jakarta, and multiple Helen’s live bars across Indonesia.
Their MiMi Livehouse in Tangerang introduced Mandarin-language nights with Manyao—a high-energy mix of Mandopop hits and hard-hitting techno—while Superhouse venues stage nightly pop concerts featuring stars like Dewa 19 and Bunga Citra Lestari.
MiMi Superhouse KL aims to combine both concepts, offering high-octane energy alongside polished production under one roof.
HW Group isn’t new to Malaysia: they partnered with Cliff Top Group last year to open H Bar in Dutamas and are reuniting for this larger venture. Singaporean DJ Inquisitive is already lined up as one of the venue’s early headliners.
The team is also recruiting local talent, with openings in finance, marketing, and creative roles such as videography and photography.
No official launch date has been announced, but Instagram teasers suggest it’s imminent.
