New Era Of Intelligent Mobility: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Unveils All-New Electric CLA

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is accelerating into the future of intelligent mobility with the unveiling of the all-new electric CLA, a vehicle that combines advanced artificial intelligence, electrification and cutting-edge design.

Previewed exclusively at the Stars@Mercedes-Benz Bangsar from Jan 15 to 18, the CLA offers an early glimpse at the brand’s vision for performance, luxury and digital intelligence in the electric era.

According to Mercedes-Benz Malaysia CEO & President Amanda Zhang, from the first glance, the CLA is designed to captivate.

“Its signature A-shape grille has been reimagined with 142 fully animated LED stars, creating an illuminated brand signature that commands attention day or night.

Zhang emphasises that practicality isn’t sacrificed for the new CLA as it features a 101-litre front trunk and 405-litre rear luggage space, making it as functional as it is gorgeous

“At the same time, the sculpted muscular shoulders, a low greenhouse and a long wheelbase give it athletic proportions, while the one-piece panoramic glass roof opens the cabin to the sky, blending luxury with a sense of openness. Practicality isn’t sacrificed: a 101-litre front trunk and 405-litre rear luggage space make it as functional as it is gorgeous,” Zhang said at the media preview on Jan 14.

In terms of power and efficiency, Zhang highlighted that the CLA consumes just 12.2 kWh/100 km and delivers a WLTP range of up to 792km.

“Its 800-volt battery enables ultra-fast charging, topping up 325km of range in only ten minutes, making it equally at home on urban streets or long highway drives.

“Precision-tuned handling adds a sporty yet refined edge, carrying forward the signature DNA of Mercedes-Benz’s GT lineage into the electric era,” Zhang said.

She emphasised that the CLA is also the smartest Mercedes ever, powered by the in-house Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS).

“The MBUX Virtual Assistant, driven by generative artificial intelligence, delivers multi-turn dialogue, emotion recognition and navigation guidance via Google Maps, creating an unprecedented level of driver-vehicle interaction.

“Meanwhile, over-the-air updates keep the car evolving, ensuring features from driving assistance to infotainment remain cutting-edge for years,” she said.

Inside, the cabin fuses digital sophistication with luxury through high-resolution displays, ambient lighting and ergonomic seating, creating a comfortable and spacious environment.

“Every detail reflects Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to intelligent design, usability and modern luxury,” Zhang emphasised.

Overall, the CLA 250+ with EQ technology is now available for pre-booking at RM295,888 (Peninsular Malaysia, including 10% SST, excluding insurance).
