Roshdi Ahmad Appointed Acting CEO of CyberSecurity Malaysia

CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) has appointed its chief operating officer, Roshdi Ahmad, as acting chief executive officer effective on Jan 14.

The appointment was announced via CyberSecurity Malaysia’s official Facebook page.

Roshdi steps into the role following the retirement of Datuk Dr Amirudin Abdul Wahab, who concluded his 13-year tenure as CSM’s chief executive yesterday.

Roshdi brings more than three decades of professional experience to the position as he has served as CSM’s chief operating officer since November 2021 and has been with the agency since 2007.

His previous roles include senior positions at Malaysia Resources Corporation Bhd (MRCB), Daihatsu (Malaysia) and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), with expertise spanning project management, corporate strategy, marketing and operations.

Roshdi holds a Master of Science in Information Management and a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours) in Marketing from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

He has also completed a leadership programme at Harvard Business School and holds a Diploma in Agribusiness from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
