Evergreen Max Cash Berhad has announced the appointment of Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr Abdul Aziz Bin Abdul Rahman as its new Independent and Non-Executive Chairman, effective February 1, 2026.
Tan Sri Dr Abdul Aziz, 80, brings a wealth of experience from both the public and corporate sectors, bolstering the leadership of the company.
The new Chairman’s professional background spans several key areas, demonstrating a long history of leadership and service:
He has held significant roles in the corporate world, including being with Price Waterhouse & Co. Sydney, working for Malaysia Airlines, and serving as the Managing Director of Bank Rakyat Bhd. He has also served as Chairman and Board member for various public listed companies and government institutions in both Australia and Malaysia.
His public service includes a tenure as a Pahang State Assemblyman, State Executive Councillor, and Deputy Chief Minister of Pahang. He also served as a Senator of the Malaysian Parliament for two full terms.
Tan Sri Dr Abdul Aziz is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Leadership and Management at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)
