Revamped Enterprise 50 Awards Strengthens MSME Export Growth, Global Competitiveness

The Enterprise 50 (E50) Awards will return this year with a revamped format aimed at strengthening export readiness and global competitiveness among Malaysia’s top micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong said the enhanced programme will incorporate the E50 Export Conference and E50 Biz Matching initiative alongside the awards to create more business opportunities and expand international trade networks.

The Export Conference will provide a platform for E50 companies to address challenges in entering foreign markets and explore opportunities arising from regional and global trade agreements. This will be complemented by the Biz Matching programme, which will connect local MSMEs with domestic and international buyers to strengthen supply chains and accelerate export growth.

Sim said expanding export capabilities is critical for MSMEs to remain competitive and contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s economic growth, adding that greater international penetration would also enhance the value of the “Made by Malaysia” brand.

He expressed hope that the awards, organised by SME Corp Malaysia, would inspire more MSMEs to scale up and achieve greater success.

Nominations for the E50 Awards are open until July 31, with the awards ceremony scheduled to take place in October.
