OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia has officially launched the JAECOO J5, a compact premium B-segment crossover crafted for city streets and weekend escapes as the new model offering Malaysian drivers a fresh take on attainable luxury.
According to Head of OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia Chris Tan, the J5 is designed for the “Urban Explorer” in everyone as it combines class-leading refinement, advanced driver assistance technology and premium comfort.
“At the same time, the J5 also expand the brand’s lineup to cater to individuals and families seeking versatility and sophistication, while giving them the freedom to navigate both everyday urban life and weekend adventures seamlessly,” Tan said.
He highlighted that under the hood, the J5 packs a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 108 kW (147 PS) and 210 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth CVT for seamless acceleration. With combined fuel consumption rated at 6.4 litres/100 km, it also carries Malaysia’s Energy Efficient Vehicle certification.
Compact yet confident, the J5 measures 4,380 mm long and rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloys. Its high-tensile steel body, class-leading torsional rigidity and advanced suspension system promise stability, safety and a refined ride across urban streets and weekend escapes.
