CelcomDigi Begins Phasing Out Celcom Life, MyDigi Apps Ahead Of April Shutdown

CelcomDigi Bhd has begun phasing out its Celcom Life and MyDigi mobile applications as it pushes customers to migrate to a new unified platform, the CelcomDigi App, with the full retirement of the existing apps scheduled for Apr 1 2026.

The telecommunications company said the gradual shutdown started at 12.00 am on March 6, beginning with prepaid-related transactions on both legacy apps. The move is part of a broader transition following the merger of Celcom and Digi operations, with the new app designed to consolidate services into a single platform.

The CelcomDigi App allows users to manage multiple accounts and services including prepaid, postpaid, fibre and supplementary lines in one place. The platform also introduces automated reload functions for prepaid users to ensure continuous credit availability.

In addition to account management, the app integrates digital lifestyle services such as access to streaming platforms including Disney+, Prime Video and Viu, alongside roaming pre-booking features intended to automatically connect users upon arrival overseas.

Security upgrades are also included, with biometric login, linked-device protection and electronic know-your-customer verification built into the platform. The company added that the app will also feature 24-hour AI-powered customer support to provide instant assistance.

CelcomDigi said the platform will continue to be improved over time as part of its efforts to provide a more seamless and personalised digital experience for customers.
