Cypark To Develop Phase 2 Of Waste To Energy Plant In Ladang Tanah Merah

Cypark Resources announced that its whollyowned subsidiary has agreed with the Government of Malaysia and the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation to undertake the development of Phase 2 of the WTE Plant at Ladang Tanah Merah,

The development is pursuant to the Supplementary Concession Agreement dated 6 March 2026 which supplements the Concession Agreement dated 9 November 2015 signed between the Parties.

The expansion represents the next phase of development for Cypark’s flagship SMART WTE facility at Ladang Tanah Merah. The facility converts municipal solid waste into renewable energy, helping to reduce landfill dependency.

The Phase 2 development is expected to further enhance the facility’s role in supporting sustainable waste management solutions while contributing to Malaysia’s broader environmental and energy transition objectives.
