Propel Global Bhd has secured an additional work order worth up to RM59.04 million for a data centre development in Johor Bahru, strengthening the group’s foothold in Malaysia’s fast-growing digital infrastructure sector.
In a statement, the group said its wholly owned subsidiary, Propel CMT Sdn Bhd, in joint venture (JV) with China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, will undertake the construction of the Consumer Landing Station and complete infrastructure works for ancillary buildings.
The works, which began on Jan 22, 2026, are scheduled for completion by May 30, 2026.
The latest award builds on the JV’s earlier involvement in the project and reflects continued confidence in its technical expertise, project execution standards and safety compliance.
Group Chief Executive Officer Angeline Lee said the contract underscores Propel Global’s growing track record in delivering specialised infrastructure works for data centre developments.
“With digital infrastructure investment accelerating across Malaysia, we remain focused on disciplined delivery while strengthening our presence in this high-growth segment,” she said.
The contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending June 30, 2026.
Propel Global said it will continue to pursue opportunities in digital infrastructure, engineering and technical services as part of its strategy to diversify revenue streams and enhance long-term earnings visibility.
