Berjaya Property Berhad has announced the high-profile appointment of Tunku Tun Aminah Binti Sultan Ibrahim Ismail, the daughter of the current King as its new Chairman, effective immediately.
The 39-year-old Malaysian royal joins the board as a Non-Independent and Non-Executive Chairman, further strengthening her leadership role within the broader Berjaya ecosystem.
Her Highness brings a wealth of experience to the role, currently heading a vast array of private and public organisations across diverse sectors, including telecommunications, digital services, and hospitality.
Beyond her extensive corporate portfolio, Her Highness is a graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore and notably holds the KFC franchise in Stulang Laut, Johor Bahru.
The appointment to Berjaya Property Berhad adds to an impressive list of current chairmanships held by Her Highness, which include:
- Berjaya Corporation Berhad
- REDtone Digital Berhad
- Berjaya Assets Berhad
- U Mobile Sdn Bhd
- Berjaya Rail Sdn Bhd
In addition to these roles, she holds directorships in several other major entities, such as Berjaya Construction Berhad and Berjaya Capital Berhad.
Her Highness holds a direct interest of 702,000 ordinary shares in the subsidiary Berjaya Rail Sdn Bhd.
