Planning ahead for Mother’s Day or looking to fill your May calendar? METT Singapore is putting a clear focus on both, with a line-up of dining events set within Fort Canning Park that’s designed to carry you from one occasion to the next without overthinking it.
Mother’s Day is the main draw, with two clear options to choose from depending on your mood. At L’Amo Bistrò del Mare, a one-day brunch on May 10, created with Jing Botanics, keeps things upbeat. Expect a menu that starts light and builds into richer dishes, made for a long, relaxed sitting rather than a quick meal.
Prefer something quieter? Canning Bar & Lounge runs its Blooming Elegance Afternoon Tea on 9 and 10 May. Curated by Daniele Sperindio, it focuses on clean, botanical flavours with tea or Champagne on the side. It’s a more low-key way to mark the occasion without missing out on the setting.
After Mother’s Day, the pace doesn’t drop. Aperitivo at L’Amo continues to be a midweek go-to, with free-flowing pinsa and spritzes setting up easy evenings that don’t need much planning.
Then there’s The Governor’s Table, held on the first Sunday of the month. It’s a looser, more sociable take on the traditional roast, with live carving stations, seafood, cheeses and desserts all in the mix, plus optional free-flow drinks if you’re making a day of it.
Overall, the approach is straightforward—less about one-off events, more about having reliable options throughout the month, whether you’re planning something specific or just deciding where to go next.
