KL Nightlife Gets A Boost As Hugo Cantarra Headlines Müro

French DJ and producer Hugo Cantarra is bringing his Asia tour to Kuala Lumpur with a headline set at Müro on May 2, 2026. The show takes place at The Starhill in Bukit Bintang, with doors opening from 10 pm and a cover charge of RM120 nett, which includes one drink.

Cantarra is no newcomer to the global house scene. Over the past decade, he has built a steady international presence through a style rooted in melodic house—balancing emotional build-ups with club-focused energy.

He is a regular on the Zamna Festival circuit, with appearances in Tulum, Barcelona and Miami helping establish his reputation across the genre.

His career has also been shaped by a long list of high-profile supports and shared line-ups. He has performed alongside artists such as Fatboy Slim, David Guetta, Don Diablo, Roger Sanchez, Nora En Pure, Meduza and Ferry Corsten, moving between festival stages and established club venues without much separation between the two.

That touring footprint extends across Asia as well, with sets at venues including Pacha Macau, Dragon I and Zuma in Hong Kong, M2 Shanghai and Latte Beijing, along with festival appearances like ElectroBeach. Alongside touring, he has remained active in the studio, recently releasing Fire To The Water in collaboration with Eli & Fur.

His sets are typically structured around progression rather than abrupt shifts, focusing on building momentum through layered melodies and steady rhythmic drive. It’s a style aimed at maintaining flow on the dancefloor from start to finish.

The Kuala Lumpur stop also places him at Müro, one of the newer nightlife venues from The Marini’s Group. Located in Bukit Bintang, the space is positioned around themed nights and visiting international DJs as part of its core programming.
