Malaysian Tech Set For Global Rollout Under MIMOS Plan

MIMOS International Venture Sdn Bhd has launched its Go-To-Market (GTM) initiative to accelerate the global commercialisation of Malaysian-developed technologies.

The initiative marks a shift by MIMOS Bhd from research and development towards execution, market entry and scaling of commercially ready technologies, in line with national science, technology and innovation priorities under the Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation.

The GTM programme targets revenue generation from 2026, focusing on technologies with global market potential and supporting pilot deployments in regions including the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia.

MIVSB is advancing the initiative through strategic partnerships and memoranda of understanding to move selected technologies into commercial validation, deployment and scale-up phases.

Among key developments, the company signed an MoU with the Syrdarya region to establish a Central Asia green technology, digital and manufacturing hub, aimed at positioning the region as a sustainable industrial centre by 2030. It also formed partnerships with Universiti Brunei Darussalam and DMW International Sdn Bhd to expand regional collaboration.

Additional agreements were exchanged with ECT Sdn Bhd, Aspansuri Corporation Sdn Bhd and RS and GIS Global Sdn Bhd, covering areas such as decarbonisation, medical technology, geospatial intelligence and digital innovation.

The initiative also supports industrial expansion into advanced materials and semiconductor packaging, alongside the deployment of AI-driven infrastructure to improve manufacturing efficiency and sustainability.
