Chanel Doubles Down On N°5 With Four New Jewellery Pieces

Chanel has added four new pieces to its Fine Jewellery N°5 collection, continuing its long-running focus on the number five as one of the maison’s most recognisable symbols.

The update ties back to Coco Chanel’s personal attachment to the digit, which she saw as a talisman linked to her identity as a Leo, as well as broader ideas of movement, balance and the five senses.

It also connects to one of the house’s most famous milestones: the launch of Chanel N°5 fragrance in 1921, named after the fifth sample she chose. That legacy now continues in jewellery form with this latest release.

The standout piece is the Extrait de N°5 Necklace, priced at SGD 8,000. It is crafted in 18K beige gold and set with diamonds, shaped into a fluid Y-silhouette that echoes the form of the number five.

At its centre is a brilliant-cut diamond in Chanel’s signature box setting, with a fine drop detail designed to suggest a trailing scent. The chain includes five extension loops, allowing for adjustable styling.

The Extrait de N°5 Earrings, priced at SG$ 9,800, have the same design language. Each earring features a ‘5’ motif with a central box-set diamond, paired with a pavé-set drop that sits along the earlobe.

For those looking for something more statement-led, Chanel has introduced the Eternal N°5 Hoops. They come in 18K beige gold at SG$ 22,950 or 18K white gold at SG$ 24,150.

The design takes inspiration from a drop of perfume, with curves set with 66 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.74 carats. A central diamond anchors each hoop, adding extra focus to the shape without overpowering it.

Taken together, the new pieces continue Chanel’s use of the number five as a design foundation across jewellery.
