j-hope Brings A Personal Touch To Louis Vuitton’s Latest Buttersoft Release

Louis Vuitton has unveiled an exclusive new chapter in its ongoing partnership with house ambassador j-hope, introducing a reimagined version of the LV Buttersoft Sneaker.

Created in collaboration with menswear creative director Pharrell Williams, the limited-edition release takes the luxury house’s retro-inspired sneaker silhouette and infuses it with personal details drawn directly from j-hope’s style and creative identity.

Originally designed as a custom shoe for j-hope during his world tour, the sneaker combines the comfort and practicality of a performance runner with Louis Vuitton’s signature Italian leather craftsmanship. Hand-stitched and hand-painted detailing elevates the design, while the tongue features a bespoke capsule logo that merges the Louis Vuitton Paris stamp with the artist’s signature.

A textile label inspired by the house’s iconic Louis Vuitton Speedy P9 bag adds another subtle nod to the brand’s heritage.

The design is rich with references that fans of the BTS star will instantly recognise. Hidden beneath the heel’s leather enchape are squirrel and acorn charms, a playful detail linked to j-hope’s personal symbolism, while the oversized woven laces are printed with the phrase “Your, My Hope” — a direct reference to both his stage name and his enduring message of optimism.

Presented in a soft sakura pink suede colourway, the sneaker strikes a balance between streetwear appeal and luxury refinement. Tonal monogram detailing runs across the side panels, while brown leather tabs embossed with “HOPE” and Louis Vuitton branding add contrast.

A layered pink-and-white sole completes the monochromatic look, delivering both visual impact and everyday wearability.

The collaboration marks another milestone in j-hope’s relationship with Louis Vuitton since becoming a house ambassador in 2023.

Known globally as a member of BTS as well as for his solo work as a rapper, dancer and producer, j-hope has become a natural fit for the brand’s evolving menswear identity under Pharrell’s direction. Louis Vuitton has described the partnership as a reflection of shared values centred on creativity, energy and artistic vision.

First teased in December 2025 and pre-launched in South Korea in March, the Louis Vuitton x j-hope LV Buttersoft Sneaker is now available globally.
