PBA Holdings Bhd said it is seeking to extend a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) involving its wholly owned subsidiary, Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (PBAPP), Gamuda Berhad and Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk) until 3 July 2026.
The state owned entity said the original MOU, which expired on 6 May 2026, is currently under discussion for extension following a response from PKNPk and Gamuda expressing their intention to continue the arrangement.
The company said the proposed extension is aimed at allowing the parties additional time to negotiate and finalise the terms of a definitive agreement.
PBA Holdings added that all existing terms and conditions under the non-binding MOU will remain valid and in effect pending further response from PKNPk and Gamuda.
The group said it will make further announcements should there be any material developments related to the proposed collaboration.
The latest update follows an earlier announcement made by the company on 6 November 2025 regarding the signing of the non-binding MOU.
