Shakira and Burna Boy have officially teamed up for “Dai Dai”, the Official Song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking another major crossover between football and global pop culture ahead of next year’s tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Released through Sony Music Latin, the song is now available across major streaming platforms and will also support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aiming to raise US$100 million by the end of the tournament to provide children worldwide with access to education and football opportunities.
The collaboration brings together Colombian superstar Shakira and Nigerian Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy in what FIFA described as a celebration of football, culture and unity.
Part of the royalties from “Dai Dai” will be donated by Shakira to the education fund, while Sony Music has pledged to match the first US$250,000 raised.
The release also sets the stage for another milestone at the World Cup final on July 19, 2026, where Shakira is set to co-headline the tournament’s first-ever halftime show. FIFA said the performance will bring together global artists in a large-scale entertainment showcase tied to the education campaign.
“Dai Dai” follows previously released songs from the upcoming official World Cup album, including “Lighter”, “Por Ella”, “Echo” and “Illuminate”, as FIFA continues building a global soundtrack for the tournament.
