Setel has introduced a new bill payment feature within its mobile app, allowing users to pay utility and household bills directly through the platform as the company expands beyond fuel and mobility services.
The feature enables users to pay for utilities, water, telecommunications and broadband services through a single app. Setel said 25 billers have been integrated so far, including Astro, CelcomDigi, TM, Air Selangor and Indah Water, with more expected to be added later.
The move marks Setel’s latest push to broaden its role in everyday digital payments and household expense management, as the platform continues expanding its ecosystem beyond fuel purchases and mobility-related services.
According to Setel, the new feature is aimed at simplifying bill management by consolidating multiple payment services into one platform while offering users easier access to recurring household payments.
Setel Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Ayman Awaluddin said the introduction of the feature reflects changing consumer needs and the company’s plans to expand into broader daily essential services.
