Digitalising Malaysia’s HORECA Supply Chain And Payments Ecosystem

NTT DATA Payment Services Sdn Bhd and SECAI MARCHE Inc have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the digital transformation of Malaysia’s foodservice and hospitality sector through an integrated platform that connects procurement, invoicing, payments and financial operations.

The collaboration aims to streamline end-to-end workflows for hotel, restaurant and café (HORECA) businesses by combining SECAI MARCHE’s fresh produce distribution network with NTT DATA’s digital billing, payment and receivables solutions under its ADAPTIS platform.

The initiative is designed to replace fragmented manual processes with a unified digital system that improves efficiency, cash flow visibility and supply chain coordination.

Scheduled for launch in July 2026, the platform is expected to serve around 400 producers and 2,400 HORECA businesses across Malaysia, addressing longstanding operational inefficiencies in procurement, reconciliation and payment collection that have weighed on productivity in the sector.

Under the collaboration, industry players will be able to digitise procurement and invoicing, enable seamless multi-channel payments and reduce administrative workload while enhancing financial management and real-time cash flow tracking.

Looking ahead, both companies plan to expand the platform’s financial capabilities, including supply chain financing and alternative payment solutions such as Buy Now Pay Later. The integration of transaction and invoice data is expected to improve access to working capital and support more sustainable growth across the ecosystem.

The partnership also lays the groundwork for potential expansion into broader Southeast Asian markets, as demand grows for integrated digital infrastructure in fragmented food supply chains.
