MetMalaysia Ends Tsunami Warning After Mega Earthquake In Philippines

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has officially lifted the tsunami advisory issued following a powerful earthquake in the Philippines earlier today.

MetMalaysia said the tsunami advisory, which was issued at 8.36am on June 8, was terminated at 12 noon after assessments indicated no further tsunami threat to Malaysia.

The agency said this would be its final update on the earthquake incident unless there are further developments or additional information requiring public attention.
