Scientex 9M26 Net Profit Rises To RM420.3 Million, Declares Six Sen Dividend

Scientex Bhd posted an 11.6% increase in net profit to RM420.3 million for the nine months ended April 30, 2026 (9M26), supported by stronger contributions from both its packaging and property divisions.

Revenue for the period rose 2.5% to RM3.41 billion from RM3.33 billion a year earlier, while operating profit climbed to RM599.7 million from RM529.7 million.

For the third quarter ended April 30, 2026 (3Q26), the group recorded net profit of RM142.2 million, up 14.8% from RM123.9 million previously, on revenue of RM1.12 billion.

The packaging division remained a key earnings driver, with 9M26 operating profit surging 57.9% to RM169.9 million from RM107.6 million, aided by improved market sentiment, stronger margins, a favourable product mix and enhanced operational efficiency. Revenue for the segment was stable at RM1.89 billion.

Meanwhile, the property division posted a 4.8% rise in revenue to RM1.52 billion, while operating profit edged higher to RM429.8 million, supported by resilient demand for new launches and steady construction progress across ongoing projects.

In 3Q26, packaging revenue increased 2.5% to RM630.0 million, while operating profit more than doubled to RM73.2 million. Property revenue stood at RM487.8 million, with operating profit at RM129.5 million.

Chief Executive Officer Lim Peng Jin said the group’s packaging business continued to navigate global market challenges through operational efficiency and cost management, while its affordable housing segment remained supported by sustained demand.

In term with improved profitability, Scientex declared an interim dividend of six sen per share for FY26, amounting to a total payout of RM93.4 million, with payment scheduled for July 17.
