Nissan has unveiled the new X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, with the electrified SUV set to be launched in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of this year.
The regional debut marks the next phase of Nissan’s electrification strategy in ASEAN, as the Japanese automaker continues to expand its e-POWER line-up across the region.
Presented by Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM), the new X-Trail combines Nissan’s e-POWER electric-drive system with its e-4ORCE all-wheel-control technology, designed to improve traction, stability and driving confidence across varying road conditions.
Unlike conventional hybrid systems, Nissan’s e-POWER technology is fully driven by electric motors, with a petrol engine serving solely as a generator to charge the battery. The system delivers instant acceleration, smooth power delivery and quieter operation without requiring external charging.
The e-4ORCE system uses dual electric motors to independently manage front and rear torque distribution, providing real-time control of power and braking at all four wheels to enhance handling, ride comfort and stability.
The X-Trail becomes Nissan’s third e-POWER model in Malaysia, joining the locally assembled Serena e-POWER and the KICKS e-POWER. Together, the models form part of Nissan’s strategy to offer electrified mobility solutions across multiple vehicle segments.
At KLIMS 2026, Nissan is showcasing the new X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE alongside the Serena e-POWER and KICKS e-POWER, highlighting its growing electrified portfolio in Malaysia.
The vehicle is being displayed within Nissan’s manga-inspired “Nissan Crossing Ginza” exhibition concept, which combines Japanese design elements with the company’s electrification vision.
