Titijaya Land Berhad announced that it has signed a consortium agreement with Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad’s wholly-owned subsidiary, PNSB Construction Sdn Bhd and through he developer’s wholly-owned subsidiary, NPO Builders Sdn Bhd to undertake the development of affordable housing with a gross development value (GDV) of RM343 million under the Rumah Idaman programme.
The development will be undertaken on a strategic 12.997-acre land parcel and will comprise 1,202 residential units, priced at RM250k and RM295k for two categories.
Under the consortium agreement, PCSB will serve as the principal delivery partner, responsible for facilitating strategic planning and managing matters related to approvals from local authorities and the Selangor State Government. This role is essential in ensuring that all policies and aspirations of the Selangor State Government concerning affordable housing are fully adhered to by the consortium.
Meanwhile, NPO Builders will lead the project management function, overseeing the construction phase, managing technical expertise, manpower, machinery and equipment, and ensuring that the project is completed according to the stipulated schedule.
Commenting on the agreement, Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim, Chief Executive Officer of PNSB, said “By combining PCSB’s strengths in regulatory facilitation with NPO Builders’ technical expertise, we are confident of optimising the implementation timeline for this Rumah Idaman project. PNSB remains focused on ensuring that affordability does not come at the expense of construction quality, and this consortium is founded on the principles of mutual goodwill and shared benefits.”
