Timor-Leste President In Malaysia For Dialogue, Diplomacy And Bilateral Engagement

Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta arrived in Malaysia on June 13 for a five-day official visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic engagement and participating in high-level dialogue, academic exchanges and government-hosted events.

Ramos-Horta and his delegation landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 at 11:12am on a commercial flight, where the visit will feature a series of engagements focused on international dialogue and cooperation.

On June 15, Ramos-Horta is scheduled to attend a session at Taylor’s University titled “A Changing World, Enduring Values”.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will then host a luncheon at the Seri Perdana Complex on June 16, underscoring the importance of Malaysia-Timor-Leste relations.

The President will also participate in a book launch and deliver a distinguished lecture organised by the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations, highlighting themes of diplomacy and global governance.

Ramos-Horta is expected to depart for Dili on June 17.
