Yasin Ayari set the tone early with a superb strike from distance in the seventh minute before Isak doubled the advantage after combining neatly with Gyokeres. Tunisia briefly responded before half-time when Omar Rekik headed in from a precise delivery by Hannibal Mejbri to make it 2-1 at the break.

However, Sweden took full control after the restart. Isak pressed high to win possession and Gyokeres reacted quickest to bury the loose ball for 3-1, shifting momentum firmly in Sweden’s favour. Mattias Svanberg then extended the lead shortly after coming off the bench, adding further pressure on Tunisia’s defence.

Ayari capped off a standout performance with his second goal in stoppage time to complete the emphatic win and underline Sweden’s early credentials in the group.

The result puts Sweden two points clear of Japan and the Netherlands, who drew earlier in the group, while Tunisia sit bottom after the opening round of fixtures.

Alexander Isak was named Michelob Ultra Superior Player of the Match after a commanding display that combined creativity, pressing and a clinical finish.
