FoundPac Reports Fire Incident In Penang Factory, No Injuries Reported

FoundPac Group Berhad announced that a fire incident occurred at a factory operated by its wholly-owned subsidiary, FP Stencil Sdn. Bhd. (FPS), in Batu Maung, Penang on Sunday evening (June 14, 2026).

The incident took place at FPS’ facility located at No. 8, Lintang Beringin 1, Off Jalan Permatang Damar Laut, 11960 Batu Maung.

FoundPac said no casualties or injuries were reported among workers at the factory following the incident.

FPS is principally involved in the manufacturing and sale of laser stencils, which are used in semiconductor and electronics-related applications.

The company said the cause of the fire is currently under investigation, while the full extent of damage to machinery, equipment and other assets at the affected facility has yet to be determined.

“As at this juncture, the Board is unable to accurately ascertain the full extent of the damage or determine the resultant financial and operational impact on the Group,” FoundPac said in a Bursa Malaysia filing.

To minimise temporary disruption to production, FPS has implemented mitigation measures by outsourcing affected processes to approved contract manufacturers.

Based on a preliminary assessment, FoundPac said the incident is not expected to have a material impact on the group’s overall financial position or operations.

The group added that the plant, machinery and other assets belonging to FPS are covered under an insurance policy, and the insurer has been notified accordingly. The landlord of the premises has also insured the building under a separate policy.

FoundPac said further announcements will be made should there be any material developments arising from the ongoing investigations.
