BTS Expand Their World Beyond Music With Two New Book Releases

BTS are turning their music and culture into something fans can read, study and cook from. The group has announced two official books arriving on September 15, released as part of this year’s BTS Festa and created with Running Press, CAKE Corp and BigHit Music.

The first, BTS Lyrics Inside, is an 184-page hardcover that breaks down the songwriting behind some of their best-known tracks. Each member contributes commentary as the book revisits songs from the ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life’ era through to the 2022 anthology Proof.

Rather than just listing lyrics, the book sets them out in Hangul with romanisation and English translations, alongside notes explaining Korean expressions and the context behind the songs. It covers ten key tracks, including “Spring Day”, “Boy With Luv”, “Life Goes On”, “IDOL”, “ON”, “Magic Shop” and “Yet to Come”.

Alongside it, BTS are releasing a second title aimed at a different kind of connection: food. BTS Recipe Book is a 256-page cookbook built around dishes linked to the group’s music eras and on-screen content, including Run BTS!, Bon Voyage and In the Soop.

The recipes include familiar Korean dishes such as kimchi fried rice, Korean fried chicken, scallion pancakes, simmered rice cakes and ginseng chicken soup. In total, there are 15 recipes designed to reflect both traditional cooking and the group’s own food moments over the years.

The cookbook also includes digital codes for extra content, including videos, behind-the-scenes clips and commentary from the members, giving fans a guide that goes beyond instructions on a page.

The releases follow the success of BTS’s 2023 book Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS and continue a wider publishing partnership expected to run through 2027.
