Several areas across Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka are expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds until 1pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
The affected areas in Perak are Manjung, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak.
In Selangor, the warning covers Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Kuala Langat and Sepang.
Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan, as well as Alor Gajah and Melaka Tengah in Melaka, are also expected to be impacted by adverse weather conditions.
MetMalaysia said the thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms producing rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour that are occurring or expected to persist for more than one hour.
The warning is a short-term alert and is valid for a period not exceeding six hours from the time it is issued.
