Get Gifts of the Gag At ESA Channel

Pranksters, gifters, and jokesters alike now have an outlet with E.S.A. Community Store. An abbreviation of English-Speaking Asians, they create and aggregate different communities, institutions, and individuals of varying common interests – to jointly and collaboratively create and develop not just products and services, but also potential, for the benefit of everyone involved, and the overall community at large.

Known for their gag gifts, E.S.A. sells an assortment of them with punny names and hilarious visuals. From sampah masyarakat to drama king, butt hurt to mak kau hijau, E.S.A. has their idea for “the absolute WORST gift for those you love / hate” Great for birthdays, parties, festive season gatherings, staff performance appraisals, company family days, or just no occasion at all.

While some focus on Malaysian humour, some can be a little raunchy, these gag gifts are sure to be a hoot with your friends. Framed like an action figure, they come on a A6 card with a plastic blister and the figures are often (although not always) 3D-printed and hand painted.

You can find them at their pop-up booth in Amcorp Mall at the Weekend Flea Market from 10 am to 5:30 pm. You can also find them at A Piece of Malaysia (APOM) at Bangsar Village and The Campus Ampang, Drop By Toys in Petaling Jaya, The Artisan’s Haven in Berjaya Times Square, SNUB in Georgetown, and even in Kalibak’s Kave in Queensbay Shopping Mall, Singapore.

Additionally, they have a homegrown community called The Spectrum, taking in creations from neurodiverse individuals such as drawings, sketches, doodles, writings, and even thoughts (through physical engagement sessions) to create and market various merchandise such as apparel, daily household items, consumables, published readables, and others. They also help hands-on commercial activities such as product assembly and packaging, on-ground sales at retail, and event participation, to provide a holistic experience for those involved.

Not only do they create gag gifts, but artists at The Spectrum have also produced Limited Edition Action Figure Collectibles for the hit Malaysian buddy cop movie Polis Evo 3, a board game called Scratchies!, and a calendar line for Agro Bank. Through partnerships with local businesses within physical neighbourhood communities, their work helps reach larger audiences.
