Dior’s Latest Beauty Drop Is All About Staying Power

Dior is expanding its Forever complexion range with the introduction of three products designed around one of beauty’s biggest priorities today: makeup that can withstand long days, changing environments and increasingly humid climates.

The latest additions — Forever Skin Veil, the Forever Cushion Compact and Forever On Set Powder — arrive as consumer demand continues to shift towards lightweight formulas, skincare-infused makeup and refillable beauty packaging.

Leading the launch is Dior Forever Skin Veil, a complexion base that combines elements of skincare, sun protection and makeup preparation in a single product. Formulated with hyaluronic acid and SPF 50 PA+++, the primer reflects a growing category of hybrid products that aim to simplify beauty routines while addressing concerns around hydration and UV exposure.

The release also underscores the industry’s ongoing focus on “skin-first” makeup, where products are designed to enhance rather than conceal the complexion. Instead of traditional mattifying primers, newer formulations increasingly prioritise glow, comfort and skincare-inspired ingredients.

Alongside the primer, Dior is introducing a refillable Forever Cushion Compact. While refill systems have become more common across beauty categories in recent years, luxury brands continue to invest in collectable packaging that balances sustainability efforts with fashion appeal.

Available in both permanent and limited-edition designs, the compact is designed to house Dior Forever cushion foundation refills, allowing users to reuse the case across multiple purchases. The move aligns with wider industry efforts to reduce single-use packaging while maintaining the desirability of luxury beauty products.

Completing the trio is Dior Forever On Set Powder, a loose setting powder developed for long-wear performance. According to the brand, the formula is designed to help control shine and blur the appearance of pores while remaining lightweight on the skin.

The launch comes as setting powders experience renewed interest, particularly in markets with hot, humid weather, where makeup longevity remains a key concern. Recent product development across the category has focused on creating softer, less detectable finishes, moving away from the heavier matte effects that dominated previous decades.

Dior’s version incorporates seven different powders intended to create a diffused, soft-focus finish. Among its shades is Crystal Pink, which uses pearlescent pigments to cause a subtle reflection of light across the complexion.

Together, the three releases highlight several of the beauty industry’s current priorities: hybrid skincare-makeup formulas, refillable packaging and products engineered for extended wear.
