While temperatures could rise with heated arguments in Johor when candidates see eye to eye for the first time, Met Malaysia is giving the public a more realistic view of the weather with the forecast.
Released today, MetMalaysia says candidates and voters can expect mixed weather across Johor on nomination day, with rain and thunderstorms forecast in several districts.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, Segamat, Kluang and Mersing are expected to remain dry in the morning before thunderstorms develop in the evening.
Tangkak and Batu Pahat are forecast to receive morning showers, with skies turning cloudy later in the day, while Muar is expected to see rain in the morning before conditions turn dry by evening.
Meanwhile, Kota Tinggi, Kulai, Johor Bahru and Pontian are likely to experience morning rain followed by thunderstorms in the evening.
The forecast may affect outdoor nomination day activities, with MetMalaysia advising the public to stay updated on the latest weather conditions.
