This June, Grand Hotel Timeo will open a permanent Dior Spa, marking the brand’s first long-term wellness outpost in Sicily and a new addition to one of Taormina’s best-known hotels.
The spa is located within the hotel’s historic terraced gardens, overlooking Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea. Rather than being built as a standalone structure, it is integrated into the existing landscape. The setup is deliberately restrained: stone pathways, garden views, and materials that mirror the hotel’s architecture, including Sicilian mosaic details, pale woods, and onyx.
There are four treatment spaces in total—Diorazur, Diorama, Rosa dei Venti, and the Isola Bella Suite. The last of these is the most private, designed for two people and equipped with a beauty area and infrared sauna. The layout points to a format that blends treatment space with private wellness suite, rather than traditional spa rooms.
The treatment approach follows what Dior calls “Haute Wellness,” which combines manual techniques with non-invasive technology. The focus is on structured, outcome-driven treatments rather than relaxation-led experiences.
Key offerings include the Talisman of Vitality ritual, where guests select a Sicilian semi-precious stone that is used throughout the treatment. The menu also includes facial and body protocols such as Kobi-Dior, Golden Aura, New Look, D-Tissue, Constellation, and 9 Moons, along with device-based facials including Dior Powered by Hydrafacial. Many of the facial techniques are developed with facialist Hadda Akrim.
Alongside individual treatments, the spa introduces a wider programme called Dior Wellness Villeggiatura. It combines movement and nutrition-based planning developed with specialists in Pilates and functional medicine. The approach is structured around recovery, physical balance, and metabolic support rather than short-term relaxation.

The setting is central to the concept. The programme is designed to work with the hotel’s environment—gardens, altitude, and coastal air—treating location as part of the wellness system rather than scenery.
Grand Hotel Timeo has long been known for its position above Taormina’s historic centre, with views that have attracted artists and filmmakers over the years. The introduction of a permanent Dior Spa extends the property’s hospitality offering into a more defined wellness space, while keeping the structure closely tied to its existing landscape.
The spa will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM starting 22 June 2026, and will be accessible to both hotel guests and outside visitors.
