His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim has called for a strategic transformation of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) under the “Future Force” concept, urging the government to prioritise modern, technology-driven defence assets to build an integrated military capable of confronting fifth-generation warfare.
The King said the increasingly complex and unpredictable global and regional security landscape demands a defence doctrine that evolves alongside technological advancements, describing the transformation as a strategic necessity rather than an option.
His Majesty also stressed that the government should support the MAF’s new force structure to strengthen the nation’s defence capabilities for future challenges.
