HI Mobility Posts RM16.3 Million PAT For 1Q27, Declares One Sen Dividend

HI Mobility Bhd has recorded a 13.5% increase in profit after tax (PAT) to RM16.3 million for the first quarter ended April 30, 2026 (1Q27), driven by stronger revenue growth across its core bus operations and vehicle distribution segment.

The mass transit operator’s revenue also rose 8.4% year-on-year to RM111.5 million compared to RM102.9 million previously, underpinned by steady ridership in its scheduled bus services and higher demand in its vehicle assembly and distribution business.

HI Mobility Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Lim Chern Chuen said the group’s scheduled bus services segment, its largest revenue contributor, expanded to RM75.6 million from RM69.7 million a year earlier, supported by additional Stage Bus Service Transformation contracts and sustained cross-border and domestic commuter demand between Malaysia and Singapore.

“The vehicle distribution segment also contributed RM32.7 million in revenue, reflecting higher sales volumes following the integration of Acacia Motor Services Sdn Bhd and Handal BCM Sdn Bhd into the group’s operations.

“Singapore remained a key growth driver, contributing RM40.5 million in revenue and posting a strong 17.3% year-on-year increase, while Malaysia contributed RM71 million,” Lim added.

In line with the improved bottomline, Lim announced that the board has declared a first interim dividend of one sen per share, payable on Aug 3, 2026.
