Govt Eases Process For Diesel Users Via JPJ, IRB

The government is extending operating hours at the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and Inland Revenue Board (IRB) service counters to facilitate applications for additional diesel quota under the targeted fuel subsidy programme.

IRB counters nationwide will open over the weekend on July 4 and 5 from 9am to 3pm to assist diesel users with their applications. The agency said its counters will continue operating as usual on weekdays.

Meanwhile, JPJ will operate its counters at all state offices and Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) branches daily, including weekends, from July 4 to July 31.

The extended operating hours are aimed at providing greater convenience for diesel users seeking assistance with their applications while easing congestion at service counters.
