TMC Life Sciences Berhad has appointed Dr Savitha Dharan as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thomson Hospitals Sdn. Bhd., effective July 1, 2026.
The appointment marks a new leadership chapter for Thomson Hospitals, with Dr Savitha bringing more than two decades of experience across healthcare operations, hospital management, strategic partnerships and business development.
Dr Savitha, 44, is a Malaysian medical professional who holds a medical degree MBChB LRCP & SI (Hons) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and has completed an Executive Education programme in Managing Health Care Delivery at Harvard Business School, United States.
Prior to joining Thomson Hospitals, Dr Savitha served as Chief Executive Officer of ParkCity Medical Centre, Asia One Healthcare, from 2024 to June 2026.
She previously held the position of CEO at HSC Group, TE Asia Healthcare from 2023 to 2024, following her role as Chief Operating Officer at Tonik Asia Group, TE Asia Healthcare between 2021 and 2023.
Her earlier career includes senior leadership positions with Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDH), where she served as Group Head of Business Development, Asia, as well as Head of Strategic Partnerships Malaysia.
She also held various operational roles at ParkCity Medical Centre, including Hospital Administrator and Head of Department for the Health Screening Centre.
Dr Savitha began her medical career as a Medical Officer at several healthcare institutions, including Sunway Medical Centre, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang, and hospitals in Ireland.
TMC Life Sciences said Dr Savitha’s extensive experience in healthcare leadership, clinical operations and strategic growth would support Thomson Hospitals’ continued development and strengthen its position within Malaysia’s private healthcare sector.
