PRG Holdings Chairman, Former Deputy IGP Tan Sri Mazlan Resigns

PRG Holdings Berhad has announced the resignation of its independent non-executive chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Seri (Dr) Mazlan Lazim, citing increasing professional and personal commitments.

The property and manufacturing group said Mazlan’s resignation took effect on July 2.

Appointed in 2024, the 65-year-old said he was stepping down due to growing commitments in other professional and personal responsibilities.

Mazlan joined PRG Holdings’ board as an independent non-executive director before assuming the role of chairman.

He is best known for his distinguished career with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), serving in various senior leadership positions over several decades.

Mazlan retired from the police force after serving as Deputy Inspector-General of Police from June to December 2021 under then Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.

Prior to that, he was director of the Bukit Aman Logistics and Technology Department and had also served as Kuala Lumpur and Kelantan police chief during his policing career.

PRG Holdings did not immediately announce a successor to the chairmanship.
