Permaju Industries’ wholly owned subsidiary, Cergaz Autohaus Sdn Bhd has been appointed an authorised dealer for LEPAS vehicles under a dealership agreement with Chery Auto Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
The company said CASB entered into the dealer agreement with Chery Auto Malaysia on July 6, allowing it to sell LEPAS vehicles within an assigned market area.
Under the agreement, CASB has been granted non-exclusive rights to purchase LEPAS vehicles from Chery Auto Malaysia for resale, identify itself as an authorised LEPAS dealer, display the brand’s trademarks and use them for marketing and promotional activities.
The dealership agreement also allows Chery Auto Malaysia to appoint additional authorised dealers within the same assigned market area, as the appointment is on a non-exclusive basis.
Under the terms of the agreement, Chery Auto Malaysia will determine the quantity of vehicles supplied, while vehicle selling prices will be set by the manufacturer from time to time. CASB is required to make full payment for vehicles before delivery, with ownership remaining with Chery Auto Malaysia until payment and delivery conditions are fulfilled.
Permaju said the appointment supports the group’s strategy to strengthen its automotive business by expanding its portfolio of vehicle brands in Malaysia.
