Rimbunan Sawit Berhad said operations at one of its plantation estates in Sarawak have been disrupted following a blockage of the main access route, affecting harvesting and transportation activities.
The plantation group said access to the Ulu Teru estate, operated by its subsidiary PJP Pelita Ulu Teru Plantation Sdn. Bhd., has been blocked since June 18.
The disruption has affected the harvesting of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), the transportation of harvested crops and several estate operations.
Rimbunan Sawit said it is working closely with the relevant authorities and other stakeholders to resolve the issue as quickly as possible while implementing operational measures to minimise the impact on plantation activities.
The company noted that the duration of the disruption remains uncertain and is currently assessing the operational and financial implications arising from the blockage.
