Turkish cuisine is built for sharing. From mezze placed in the centre of the table to charcoal-grilled meats served with warm bread, meals are designed to bring people together. This dining tradition takes centre stage in Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur this July as Lemon Garden presents a limited-time Anatolian showcase featuring guest chefs from Shangri-La Istanbul.
Running from July 20 to August 14, 2026, the showcase introduces diners to the flavours of Türkiye through dishes that reflect the diversity of Anatolian cooking. Guest chefs Murat Arslantaş and Yunus Emre Şengüler bring a menu shaped by traditional techniques, regional ingredients and the communal style of Turkish dining.
The showcase begins with cold mezze, a staple of Turkish dining that encourages sharing from the start. The selection includes hummus with chickpeas and tahini, ezme made with tomato, pepper, herbs and a hint of spice, and mutabbal featuring charred aubergine balanced with tahini and citrus.
The focus then shifts to the charcoal grill, where Turkish favourites take centre stage. Adana kebab is prepared with hand-minced lamb, spices and charcoal grilling to bring out its smoky character.
Chicken şiş is marinated and grilled for a tender texture with a subtle char. Meanwhile, lamb chops are seasoned to highlight the meat’s natural flavour. Hatay tray kebab, a speciality from southern Türkiye, combines minced meat and vegetables in a slow-baked preparation.
The menu also features seafood selections inspired by Türkiye’s coastal regions, alongside Ottoman spiced rice with pine nuts and currants. Freshly baked lavaş and traditional pide round out the meal, providing the breads typically served alongside Turkish dishes.
Dessert brings the showcase to a close with traditional favourites. Künefe pairs crisp pastry with melted cheese and pistachio, baked milk helva offers a caramelised sweetness, and almond keşkül provides a smooth almond milk pudding finish.
Available during lunch and dinner, the Anatolian showcase transforms Lemon Garden into a destination for exploring Turkish cuisine through a selection of traditional dishes. The lunch menu is available à la carte, while dinner features the showcase as part of the buffet offering.
