Reservoir Link Secures Five-Year Petronas Contract For Sand Control Services

Reservoir Link Energy Bhd has secured a five-year contract from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd to provide remedial sand control equipment and services, strengthening the group’s position in Malaysia’s upstream oil and gas services sector.

The oilfield services provider said its wholly owned subsidiary, Reservoir Link Sdn Bhd (RLSB), received the Letter of Award on May 21, 2026.

The contract commenced on the same date and will run until May 20, 2031, unless extended or terminated earlier in accordance with its terms.

The contract is awarded on a call-off basis, meaning the total contract value will depend on actual work orders issued and services satisfactorily completed during the contract period.

Under the agreement, RLSB will supply remedial sand control equipment and provide related engineering and field services for PETRONAS Carigali’s operations.

The scope of work includes supplying various types of sand screens and accessories, including wire wrap and wire mesh screens, together with personnel and equipment required for installation at designated worksites.

RLSB will also provide completion systems ranging from 2-3/8 inches to 7-5/8 inches that comply with relevant international standards, including API and ISO specifications.

In addition, the company will supply sand consolidation and sand agglomeration chemicals designed to improve sand retention and exclusion capabilities in both downhole and surface applications.

The contract also requires Reservoir Link to undertake planning, design, simulation, testing and analysis using its proprietary sand screen design software at no additional cost to PETRONAS Carigali, alongside assembly and installation support for complete sand screen systems.
