Price For Unsubsidised RON95 Maintains At RM3.37, Diesel At RM3.97

The retail prices of petrol and diesel will remain unchanged for the period of July 9 to 15, 2026, as global petroleum prices moderated from their recent peak amid easing geopolitical risk and improved supply flows, according to the Finance Ministry (MOF).

In a statement, MOF said, the unsubsidised retail price of RON97 remains at RM4.00 per litre, while RON95 is maintained at RM3.37 per litre and diesel at RM3.97 per litre.

MOF said global crude oil prices had continued to soften in the previous week, supported by reduced geopolitical risk premiums, the recovery of supply flows and intensifying price competition among major producers.

However, it cautioned that developments in the Middle East, including the latest US strikes on Iran, indicate that risks to oil prices and supply disruptions remain as long as conflicts are unresolved.

In the medium term, expectations of a global supply surplus due to recovering production and moderating demand are expected to limit further price increases. However, disruptions along major trade routes could still trigger significant price volatility.

The government said domestic fuel supplies remain sufficient but urged consumers to practise prudent fuel usage through more efficient travel planning and reducing unnecessary journeys to help manage national fuel demand and subsidy costs.

For subsidised fuel, eligible Malaysians will continue to enjoy RON95 at RM1.99 per litre under Budi Madani RON95, while diesel remains at RM2.10 per litre under Budi Madani Diesel.

Diesel prices under the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) remain at RM2.05 per litre, while the fleet card mechanism under SKDS is maintained at RM2.15 per litre.

The ministry said the government will continue to adopt a prudent approach to shield consumers from global price fluctuations while ensuring stable and adequate fuel supplies nationwide.
