KPKT Allocates RM430.3 Million To Strengthen Negeri Sembilan’s Development Projects

The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has allocated RM430.3 million for the implementation of 80 major development projects in Negeri Sembilan since 2023, said Minister Nga Kor Ming.

He said RM119.6 million of the total allocation was provided under the first Rolling Plan (RP1) this year to support housing development, public facilities and community well-being.

Of the 2026 allocation, RM115.5 million was channelled for KPKT development projects approved under RP1, while RM4.05 million was allocated for additional initiatives to support urban development in the state.

Nga said the additional allocation included RM3 million for the Negeri Sembilan Development Plan Study 2025-2026, RM750,000 for the Safe City Programme and RM300,000 for the Smart City Programme.

He said a significant portion of the funding was aimed at strengthening public housing initiatives through the People’s Housing Programme (PRR), Rumah Mesra Rakyat (RMR), as well as housing maintenance efforts under the Malaysia Housing Maintenance Fund (TPPM) and Housing Maintenance Programme (PPP).

The allocation also covered sustainable solid waste management, upgrades to public facilities such as markets, stalls and community halls, as well as community safety initiatives including the construction of new fire stations.

Nga said KPKT would continue working with the state government and local authorities to ensure projects were implemented efficiently and transparently.

He was speaking to reporters during the KPKT Sentuhan Kasih 4.0 tour, which included visits to development projects and public facilities in several districts.

Among the projects visited were the Bahau Market rehabilitation project, the Bandar Housing Repair Programme at Taman Cempaka and the MADANI Recreation Facility at Taman Awam Bandar Seri Jempol.
