Rafizi Accepts Bersama Lost All Seats, Says It’s a Journey

Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli acknowledged Bersama’s failure to win any seats in the Johor state election, saying the result marks the beginning of a long political journey rather than the end of the party’s ambitions.

In his post on X, Rafizi said the outcome was “not the end” but “the beginning”, admitting that building a political movement that truly returns power to the people could not be achieved in just 50 days.

He thanked Malaysians who placed their trust in Bersama despite the party being only 50 days old, including voters, volunteers, donors and supporters who believed in its struggle.

“Every vote, every conversation, every piece of feedback and every show of support is a trust that we will carry forward,” he said.

Rafizi said Bersama accepted the lessons from the election with an open heart and would continue learning, addressing its weaknesses and working harder.

He stressed that the party’s mission had never been about a single election, but about building a more honest political movement that is closer to the people and truly belongs to them.

“The seed has been planted. Now it is time to nurture it together. Bersama’s journey has only just begun,” he said.

Bersama, which was launched just 50 days before the Johor state election, failed to win any of the seats it contested.
