Solar District Cooling Secures RM18.5 Million Rail Transit Building Systems Upgrade Contract

Solar District Cooling Group Bhd (SDCG) has secured an RM18.5 million contract to upgrade building management systems (BMS) at rail transit stations and ancillary buildings, strengthening its presence in Malaysia’s transportation infrastructure segment.

The contract was awarded to SDCG’s wholly owned subsidiary, Solar District Cooling Sdn Bhd, through a letter of award for the enhancement and modernisation of existing BMS infrastructure across selected rail transit facilities.

The 24-month project, commencing from July 15, 2026 until July 15, 2028, involves upgrading BMS capabilities to improve operational efficiency, monitoring systems and overall building performance within high-traffic public transportation environments.

With the latest contract win, SDCG’s outstanding order book has increased to approximately RM54.52 million, comprising RM36.02 million as at June 30, 2026 and the additional RM18.5 million from the new project.

SDCG Managing Director Edison Kong said the contract reinforces the group’s capabilities in delivering BMS solutions for complex infrastructure projects, particularly within government-linked and transportation sectors.

The group said the project is expected to contribute positively to earnings and net assets from the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026 onwards until completion.
