SD Guthrie, SDP Advance RM798 Million Bukit Kerayong Industrial Park Development

SD Guthrie Berhad and Sime Darby Property Berhad have announced that they will jointly develop a next-generation industrial and logistics corridor in Selangor, Bukit Kerayong industrial park.

This follows the companies’ announcement in November 2025 to establish a 50:50 joint venture to develop approximately 3,000 acres of land in Kuala Selangor.

Under the newly executed agreements, the joint venture will acquire approximately 1,021.93 acres of land within Bukit Kerayong Estate in Kapar, Selangor, for about RM798.3 million, allowing the project to move into its development phase.

Both companies will each invest up to RM100 million for a 50% equity stake in the joint venture, reaffirming their commitment to unlocking the long-term value of SD Guthrie’s strategic landbank while supporting industrial expansion in Selangor.

The Bukit Kerayong project is planned as a next-generation heavy industrial park centred on logistics and renewable energy infrastructure.

SD Guthrie President and Group Chief Executive Officer Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad said the project demonstrates the group’s continued strategy of unlocking value through strategic partnerships.

“This collaboration reflects our continued focus on monetising our landbank through synergistic alliances that generate sustainable, long-term returns. The Bukit Kerayong development represents a significant opportunity to catalyse economic growth in the region, support industrial and commercial activities, and create lasting value for stakeholders while aligning with national industrial aspirations,” he said.

Sime Darby Property Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Seri Azmir Merican said the project marks the transition from planning to execution.

“This next phase moves our partnership from vision to execution. By integrating Sime Darby Property’s expertise in sustainable master planning with SD Guthrie’s strategic landbank, we are building an industrial corridor equipped to meet evolving supply chain demands. This development will directly attract high-value investments, facilitate significant job creation, and reinforce Malaysia’s industrial competitiveness,” he said.

The Bukit Kerayong development will complement Sime Darby Property’s flagship Bandar Bukit Raja township and forms part of a broader industrial growth strategy extending towards Carey Island.
